Hi, I’m Mariella Wilson — a wedding planner in Bulgaria, helping international couples discover the country’s most beautiful settings and create meaningful, experience-led celebrations.
I founded Prikazen Den in 2004, after completing professional wedding-planning training with the Association of Bridal Consultants, United States.
My background includes more than a decade in hospitality across Dubai, Sofia and London. That experience still shapes the way I plan weddings today — particularly guest care, food and beverage service, timing, flow and the small details that allow a celebration to feel effortless.
Today, I work primarily with international and mixed-nationality couples, planning their weddings in Bulgaria from wherever in the world they happen to live.

My life is a reflection of the very weddings I create.
I’m Bulgarian and married to a New Zealander, so I know firsthand what it means when two families bring different traditions and different expectations into one celebration.
That experience has shaped how I approach weddings where more than one culture is part of the story.
I do not believe in adding customs simply because a wedding is expected to have them. I want to understand what matters to each of you and what will feel right when your families come together.
Your wedding should respect where you come from without turning culture into a performance.

My experience behind your experience.
Before and alongside my work in weddings, I spent more than a decade working in hospitality. My career took me from Dubai to Sofia and later to London.
That background changed what I notice at a wedding.
I think about how your guests will be welcomed and how quickly they will feel comfortable. I make sure drinks arrive when they should, that food is served at the right time, and that nothing important is interrupted by service or logistics.
I also think about how the atmosphere should change as the day moves on. As evening begins, the lighting can soften, candles can take over and the room can start to feel warmer and more intimate. Music, food, drinks and timing all contribute to that feeling.
These are often the things guests never consciously notice, but they are exactly what makes a wedding feel easy and well considered.
I plan the day in great detail, but I never want you to feel as though you are being managed by a schedule.
Behind the scenes, everything has its place and its time. In front of you, the day should simply flow.
The timetable exists precisely so that you do not have to follow one.
That is what good planning means to me.
